The 2023 Block Party was a great success, despite the rain! We even had an "Adventure Raffle" and a donut-eating contest in extra-hard mode during a thunderstorm and downpour. Thank you for all of those who helped out and attended, especially to the Good Trouble Bass Band who performed for us!

Irving Street has a permanent exhibit of mosaic stones made in-memory of Karen Edlund, a long-time resident of the street and a founding board member of the New England Mosaic Society. Learn more about Karen and the exhibit or download a map.
If you are interested in making more, contact Emily Bhargava for details. The substrate has to be stone or cement, and the adhesive has to be thinset or silicone, and the tiles have to be frost-proof (non-absorbent).
See the new collection of historical stories, photos, and historical maps as well as a tool for comparing maps. Please contact Erik if you have anything to add.
We have weather and air quality stations on the street! Check out hyper-local weather and air quality:
Thank you to everyone who came to our Block Party! We had great weather, wonderful live music, tasty food, and we raised $785 for the Somerville Homeless Coalition.
The 2021 Block Party was a great success! Thank you for all of those who helped out and attended. We're looking forward to hopefully being able to bring back more of our regular activities in 2022, pandemic permitting.
In our theme this year of giving back, we raised over $800 for the Somerville Homeless Coalition, a new record!
We unfortunately had no Block Party in 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic, but we look forward to seeing everyone in-person when it is safe to do so!
The 2019 Block Party was a great success, despite the rain! Thank you for all of those who helped out and attended.
